A nice evening with live music and good company!

M and E were up with the tupp this morning to try Zumba at their second home now days; 24 hour fitness! Kind of fun but worth the experience. Y also joined but refused to shake her hips.
E, M and Y have been downtown tonight at a nice café/restaurant to listen to some live music and talk about everything between heaven and earth. Now it's time for a movie night while Linnea and Louise are out clubbing! Hopefully it gets as crazy as yesterday. The girls scored BIG TIME!

By the way, we just started a group called ATV! Will explain the purpose of this Sorority later!

We are not dead, just very busy PTKs!

A lot of things happened this weekend;
Friday: Pool party for some of the golden girls and movie time (V-Day) for the other half. Both a huge success! Don't screw up the gun M cuz we're still looking forward to a boat trip!
Saturday: E played beach volleyball all day, the others had a lazy day and went no longer than to the pool to get tanned.
Sunday: Valentine's Day ftw! Dinner with potatoes in oven, meat, salad and a nice try to bake dessert without sugar. Good luck schmuck. Promised the lender of the electric mixer a muffin as a "thank you" but she should be happy she didn't have to taste the "masterpiece".
Monday: President day. Of whatever it was for a day. Holiday anyway and we said thanks! M and E went to the gym early (for you who didn't know we are capable of going to gym; you have it very wrong, we actually rocks at the step master and cross trainer) for a nice workout to later on enjoy a study session at one of Santa Barbara's cozy cafés.
The plan was to visit Sharkeez that monday night to just dance and have fun but the fuckers didn't accept ID so it was nothing else to do than take the taxi back home again (after a toothpick show by M but that's a whole different story).

Additionally, we are now proud members of PTK (Phi Theta Kappa). At march 5, we're gonna go to the Induction (well dressed), eat buffé and swear the oath. Nice! After that we can wear the golden pin! So cheesy, so American, so not Swedish.

Here's to: Being single, seeing double, and sleeping triple!

We know it's a wonderful world

If you haven't seen the movie "It's Complicated" watch it! The whole movie takes place in Santa Barbara and though it's a middle-age-woman-movie it's kind of fun :)
Otherwise you can just enjoy the picture above in which 4 happy girls are dancing in Apt. 123.

Time for school!
Xoxo

Roses are red, violets are blu, Cali is hot, and so are you!

The sun is shining outside and the air feels like a sunny spring day in Sweden, but we are inside studying and writing letters to International Student Office to get the financial aid of $80 to Phi Theta Kappa's member fee.
A few cheesy mails later, I'm sitting here together with two very tired girls (super bowl means not only party for some people but hell lot of party with crazy much tequila) and longing for The Bachelor tonight at 8.00pm.

It didn't work to post pictures here today but i promise to do it some other day.

Best wishes!

Starbucks is kinda like men

Wednesday

Rock n roll roomies + guests + king’s cup = Legen-fucking-DAIRY.

We have realised that it doesn’t matter how long you practice your English, starbucks personnel will still ask you the question (or assume) "Where are you from?”

Since we are such rich students we took a cab from downtown to home and got ready for some basketball!
Linnea did a great job, but the other team’s cheerleaders were real cheerlosers, with too short tops and mediocre kicks.

After the game we got ready to PART-A!

A whole lot of drinks later, we went to Sharkeez to shake, and we shook.

Erica resolved a fight on the street. Linnea fell on the street... and Maria fooled some guys she was French (on the street).

There was a big Swedish reunion on the dance floor, and feeding of shots in the bathroom.

After a short but fun visit to sharkeez, some of us were still up for more partying, so we went to La Breeza to after party at Empa’s. Drama, drama, drama. Home.

The night’s insight; say the right name during”the act”.

Night snack: noodles in taco bread with chilli beans. Delish.

Thursday

Hangover. House woke up at 12.

We (Erica and Maria) finally decided to do something, so went to east campus and tried to refund books, get a job and grow up. We failed miserably. Books are now recycled, job applications need to be handed in and we still giggle like little girls when we fall on our ass.

We then decided to go downtown and enjoy a Starbuck. But we got distracted by a Norwegian guy in a leather jacket at the bus stop, and accidentally got on the bus to IV, where we did a lot of shopping, and came to realise that Starbucks is like men.  Sometimes you get your choice of coffee, perfectly made and exactly like you want it (hot). But other times you get some lop warm fucked up green gue that tastes like shit and the staff forget your name. Starbucks is like men. Period.

Some 15 year olds hit on us in McDonalds, just after finishing their happy meal. At least the men (boys) in this country have a lot of self-confidence. Although their faces are asymmetrical.

We changed clothes in the bathroom at McDonalds (not using our hands) and took the bus back home.

Cravings for brie cheese and crackers settled in around 10pm this evening so we once again took the bus to (what we thought) Albertson’s to buy what we needed to fulfil our wildest cheese and cracker dreams. To not miss the bus back home we had to run which led to a butt injury (not to mention the shame) for Maria and a lot abs for Erica. Albertson’s was closed (what we thought) so 7-eleven became our life saver instead. The bus driver saw the slippery fall and we had a good laugh on our way back home.

Now we are full of Reese and Phish Food and it’s time to go to bed.

Sleep well Santa Barbara and mums; lock up your sons.

Xoxo Maria & Erica

Livin in sin is a new thing

The fifth musketeer is back, finally!

Ylva, Erica and Catherine are sitting with their computers having something that looks like a LAN in one of apt. 123's rooms. Maria is in the shower, Linnea and Vicks are still sleeping and Serena as well.
Later, if/when the heavy rain and the storm are over, it's time for some downtown-spending...and Staaaarbucks!

Tonight it's Sharkeey's ftw! Pre party at our house or at La Breza, King's Cup, nice music and good company! Well girls, are you game?

/Xoxo

finally noodles and starran!

This is my (Maria) first day back in SB, and its been pretty great! Sun shining and really warm, not to mention the girls ive been missing so much! I absolutely love the apartment.
Cathrine made me a bluegreen pancake for breakfast! heaven with syrup.

We went to alban to shop our asses of, and on the way home, me and Erica had a baby. Named Ivy, a sweet little girl, crazy but organized. She is also really fat.

Then I got some help from my dear roomie linnydinny with moving all my stuff in! now the shoes are in neat rows and the chocolate is beside the bed, the way I like it! The apartment has been totally cleaned and now it looks really cozy!

Linnea, vickan and I have been watching paradise hotel and screaming cursewords at a sleezy blond guy. Or maybe that was just me. the other two are just screaming in general, when running into strange guys on the phone ;)

Now we are all watching Grey's together, and planning for the weekend!

Apt 1,2,3...

This weekend it's show time! We're gonna show our Swiss girls how to drink.

"By the end of the night
Imma have you drunk and throwing up (hey! )
By the end of the night
Imma have you so fucked up! (have you so fucked up)"

Let the sunshine in

Hi,

have been in the sun all day and now I'm so tired and I think it's time for someone else from the crew to take charge over the writing here on the blog; my brain is out of service.

Nothing much is going on in no. 123; we have a well working Internet, new food in the refrigerator and Chai tea in the mug which means it is all set for a fantastic evening.
The Hookah has to wait, sorry about that...

Best Regards
"The one and only E"

Candles in the wind...

Tea, candles and nice company.
This is how cozy we have it in no. 123. You can't be anything but jealous ;)

Who let the horses out?

Hi,
Catherine and Romy were horse riding today up in the mountains and I was out for a power walk which has become my new daily activity. Hurray!
Linnea and her friends came home from L.A today as well and now after some catching up and over 100 pictures later, they are watching a movie and I'm sitting in the living room waiting for my sister and my little sunshine to log in to Skype (my beloved Maximus; the one and only).
Blatten is already sleeping and so does Romy. After four hours on the horseback they have muscle pain and no energy at all. Told you, you shouldn't involve yourself with horses...

The fire alarm went on today again, but this time we took out the battery and now its as dead as Catherine’s butt. Tomorrow we will replace it with a new one, should Catherine do the same?

Good morning Sweden, good night Santa Barbara!

Xoxo,
E

Ring the satisfaction!

Hi,

Yesterday began as a nice and calm day with some easy shopping downtown and a nice lunch at some Italian place on State Street, but ended chaotic in apartment no 123. The fire alarm went on, totally without any reason! We all got scared and had no idea what to do. What caused the alarm in the first place? Anyway, after me screaming what the other two had to do and after Catherine’s concern where to put all the candles in case someone showed up calmed down, the alarm stopped automatically. We went to bed anxious that night…

Catherine has been redoing her nails today; they got yellow and discolored last time, while me and Romy have just been home doing nothing. I have been watching Dirty Sexy Money marathon (almost no time for breaks; as it should be when you are watching a marathon) and Romy has been playing this annoying Mario-game on her computer almost all day (btw, I will have nightmares about the sound). Totally out of control!

Tomorrow it’s time for the Swiss ladies to go to Camarillo Outlet. I’m not coming; instead I’m going to take a power walk before breakfast and then call COX so they can fix our still not working Internet.

For your information; Swiss people can’t translate properly nor buy beer to an underage without reveal who it’s really for.

A new year means new red lingerie and new promises!

Hi,

It doesn’t feel like New Years Eve today at all. We have been downtown fixing some bank errands during the day and because of the special day today, Catherine bought a pair of red Hanky Panky panties. She says that if you wear red underwear on New Year’s Eve and jump from a chair it will bring you luck. I have never heard of it (maybe some Swiss/German bullshit) but I couldn’t take the risk so my new red Hanky Panky panties were on this night as well! For dinner we went to a nice restaurant near the harbor. We ate and later we took a cab home. In an hour from now we’re going to look at the fireworks down at the pier but as we all are very tired and Maria is going to move to her apartment tomorrow I don’t think it’s gonna be a late night. This is an overrated night so it doesn’t bother me at all.

I, Linnea and Catherine have a promise for 2010. It’s now written in the contract that both me and Catherine have signed (Linnea will do it when she gets back home) and we have it as a public document on the refrigerator in the kitchen. $40 to pay to each participant if you break the rules… Suck on that!

It’s going to be hard to leave this town in May, that’s a fact. “But you can’t have it all, Erica” as Catherine should have said.” Too bad” should have been my response…

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR folks! See you all in 2010.

Dirty Sexy Money

Sitting in the livingroom watching Dirty Sexy Money, such a nice show! Catherine and Romy just got home from downtown, they have been doing their nails and hanging around with some hot guys. They didn't wanna tell any names but it's hard to believe in this town, or is it?

I have been cleaning so it looks pretty good in here now, how lovely! A cleaned room with candles, tea and a good show. Can it be any better?
